How same-day delivery works
- Open the booking form and choose a van. Small from £45/hr up to Luton at £75/hr.
- Enter both postcodes and choose today. Arrival windows run 08:00–20:00 London time; times that have already passed are not offered.
- Check the price breakdown and pay the 30% booking fee. Your booking reference appears on screen and in your confirmation email.
- Your driver-operator contacts you. You pay the 70% Driver Fee directly to the driver.

All bookings have a 2-hour minimum. If the journey takes longer than the hours you selected, the extra time is added at the same hourly rate in half-hour steps — the booking form shows this before you pay.
The booking form does not add a separate same-day fee: the standard hourly rates apply, plus any extras you choose.
Congestion Charge and ULEZ on the day
The booking form checks your postcodes, date and arrival window and adds the Congestion Charge (currently £18) and ULEZ (£12.50) when they apply. The Congestion Charge runs 07:00–18:00 Monday to Friday and 12:00–18:00 at weekends and bank holidays, so an evening arrival can avoid it. These charges are paid in full with your booking fee. Make a same-day job go smoothly
- Have both postcodes, the floors and the parking details ready before you start the form.
- Know what is being moved and roughly how big it is; for a big item send a photo or the measurements on WhatsApp.
- Make sure someone is at the collection and delivery addresses at the arrival window you choose.
- Answer your phone: your driver-operator will call to confirm the details.
- Add driver help (+£25/hr) if the item is heavy or there are stairs and no one can help carry.

Who does the move, and how you pay
NKVans is a booking, coordination and dispatch platform. The physical move is carried out by an independent driver-operator, who is responsible for the vehicle, the driving, loading and unloading and the care of your goods.
You pay a 30% NKVans Booking Fee online when you book (plus any ULEZ or Congestion Charge). The remaining 70% Driver Fee is paid directly to your driver. Please read the Customer Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy before you book. Items we cannot carry are listed in the Terms.

What happens if no driver can take my same-day job?

How will I know my booking is confirmed?
After payment you see a confirmation with your booking reference (NK-XXXXXXXX) and we email it to you. Your driver-operator then contacts you about the job.
