Furniture delivery by man and van
You buy the furniture; we get it to your door. A driver-operator collects the item from a London address — a shop, showroom, warehouse or private seller — and delivers it to you. Collections start in London and delivery can be anywhere in England. Book the van for as many hours as the job needs, with a 2-hour minimum.

How furniture delivery works
- Choose a van. Small, medium, large or Luton — the form shows what each is best for.
- Enter the route. Collection and delivery postcodes, your date, an arrival window, the floors and whether there is parking and a lift.
- Pay the 30% booking fee online. The ULEZ and Congestion Charge are added only where they apply.
- Your driver-operator contacts you about the job. You pay the 70% Driver Fee directly to the driver, by cash or bank transfer agreed with the driver before the move.

All bookings have a 2-hour minimum. If the journey takes longer than the hours you selected, the extra time is added at the same hourly rate in half-hour steps — the booking form shows this before you pay.
Before the delivery
- Measure the item, doorways, hallways and stairs — an item that will not fit cannot be carried in.
- Tell us about floors, lifts and stairs at the delivery address, and where the van can park.
- Make sure you or someone you authorise is there at the agreed time to receive the delivery.
- Choose driver help (+£25/hr) for heavy items or several flights of stairs. For assembly add the +£20 option.
- Check the item when it arrives and raise any problem with the driver straight away. Unless packing is expressly agreed, protecting your goods is your responsibility.
Who does the move, and how you pay
NKVans is a booking, coordination and dispatch platform. The physical move is carried out by an independent driver-operator, who is responsible for the vehicle, the driving, loading and unloading and the care of your goods.
You pay a 30% NKVans Booking Fee online when you book (plus any ULEZ or Congestion Charge). The remaining 70% Driver Fee is paid directly to your driver. Please read the Customer Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy before you book. Items we cannot carry are listed in the Terms.
Frequently asked questions
Can you collect furniture from a shop or warehouse and deliver it to me?
Yes. Enter the collection and delivery postcodes in the booking form and put the order details and any collection reference in the notes. You must have the right to instruct the move.
Can you deliver to a flat on an upper floor?
Yes. Choose the floors at both addresses in the booking form and tell us whether there is a lift. For heavy items or several flights of stairs, add driver help (+£25/hr) so you are not left carrying alone.
Do you assemble the furniture after delivery?
You can add the furniture assembly / disassembly option (+£20) when you book. Describe what needs assembling in the notes.
How much does furniture delivery cost in London?
A small van with a driver is £45/hr with a 2-hour minimum, so from £90. A medium van is £55/hr, a large van £65/hr and a Luton van £75/hr. Extras, the Congestion Charge and ULEZ are shown in the price breakdown before you pay.

Do you take away old furniture or rubbish?
Rubbish removal and disposal are not part of our online booking. If you want a driver to move an old item to another address, say so in the notes.
