Move furniture without a full removals team
For single items and small loads you do not need a full crew. Book a van with a driver-operator for as many hours as you need, with a 2-hour minimum. Add driver help if the item is heavy or there are stairs.

All bookings have a 2-hour minimum. If the journey takes longer than the hours you selected, the extra time is added at the same hourly rate in half-hour steps — the booking form shows this before you pay.
Before the van arrives
- Measure the item, doorways and stairs — an item that will not fit cannot be carried.
- Disassemble it yourself, or add the furniture assembly / disassembly option (+£20).
- Empty drawers, secure doors and protect surfaces. Unless packing is expressly agreed, protecting your goods is your responsibility.
- Tell us about stairs, lifts and parking at both addresses.
- For pianos, safes and other heavy or special items, choose the heavy items option (+£50) and tell your driver in advance. A driver may refuse an item that is unsafe or unsuitable.
Items we cannot carry
Unless expressly agreed in writing with the driver and legally permitted, you must not ask a driver to transport illegal goods, weapons, hazardous or flammable substances, live animals, perishable goods needing controlled conditions or cash. The full list is in our Customer Terms & Conditions.
Who does the move, and how you pay
NKVans is a booking, coordination and dispatch platform. The physical move is carried out by an independent driver-operator, who is responsible for the vehicle, the driving, loading and unloading and the care of your goods.
You pay a 30% NKVans Booking Fee online when you book (plus any ULEZ or Congestion Charge). The remaining 70% Driver Fee is paid directly to your driver. Please read the Customer Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy before you book.

Can you collect furniture I bought online?
Yes. Collecting an item from a seller and delivering it to you is a common man and van job. You must have the right to instruct the move.
Do you assemble furniture?
You can add the furniture assembly / disassembly option (+£20) when you book. Describe what needs doing in the notes.
Do you move pianos or safes?
