Flat and house moves across London
NKVans suits flat moves, house moves and student moves, from studios up to larger family homes. You choose the van, the hours and an arrival window that suits you, and an independent driver-operator carries out the move.
A medium van suits a small studio, a large van a 1–2 bedroom home, and a Luton van a 2–3 bedroom house.
Plan your hours properly
The more accurately you describe your move, the more accurate your price. The booking form asks about:
- Floors and lift — every flight of stairs adds time, and it is included in your price.
- Parking at pickup — if there is none, loading takes longer and a small extra charge applies.
- Boxes — use the boxes calculator to see how much of your chosen van they fill.
- Heavy items — pianos, safes and similar items have their own option.
- Distance — journey time is calculated from your postcodes. If it is longer than the hours you selected, the extra time is added at the hourly rate in half-hour steps.

All bookings have a 2-hour minimum. If the journey takes longer than the hours you selected, the extra time is added at the same hourly rate in half-hour steps — the booking form shows this before you pay.
What to have ready on moving day
- Boxes packed and sealed — packing is not included unless it has been expressly agreed.
- Furniture disassembled, or add the assembly / disassembly option when you book.
- Parking, loading and building access arranged at both addresses.
- Fragile, valuable or unusual items pointed out to your driver in advance.
- Someone available at the agreed times at both addresses.
Who does the move, and how you pay
NKVans is a booking, coordination and dispatch platform. The physical move is carried out by an independent driver-operator, who is responsible for the vehicle, the driving, loading and unloading and the care of your goods.
You pay a 30% NKVans Booking Fee online when you book (plus any ULEZ or Congestion Charge). The remaining 70% Driver Fee is paid directly to your driver. Please read the Customer Terms & Conditions and the Cancellation & Refund Policy before you book.

How many hours do I need for a house move?
It depends on how much you are moving, the floors, parking and the distance. Use the boxes calculator and the floor and parking questions in the booking form, and choose a van with some margin. If you are unsure, call or WhatsApp us on 07344 501595. Time beyond your booking is charged at the van's hourly rate in half-hour steps.
Do you provide packing materials?
Packing is not included in the standard booking. You are responsible for packing and protecting your goods unless packing has been expressly agreed.
Can you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Add the furniture assembly / disassembly option (+£20) when you book.
Who do I pay?
You pay the 30% booking fee online to NKVans, and the 70% driver fee directly to your driver on the day.
